Simple, addictive snack. I didn't take the iron skillet, so I just mixed information technology & threw information technology in the oven with a ceramic baking dish. I have a feeling it turned out the aforementioned this way. After having this snack in Liguria, I'd have to say this isn't far off. Very cool thing with a nice, nutty taste.

Yummy! I used four T. Of oil instead of 5 and would cut that down side by side time. It also browned up before it was done in the heart. I covered it with tin foil one-half way through only would reduce rut by 25 degrees side by side fourth dimension.

I brand this all the time. Information technology is a great vegan dish! I cut the oil in one-half. It works fine without letting it sit down. I use mixed Italian spices and granulated onion and garlic. I put fresh chopped lycopersicon esculentum on top.

Loved it! Skipped the rosemary as nosotros were having Indian Butter Chicken over information technology but volition absolutely try information technology that way next time. Loved information technology! I followed the recipe exactly, and the farinata came out amazing! Really unproblematic to make too. The chaff was my favorite office. The batter smells like the garbanzo edible bean, just by the time it's baked information technology doesn't taste like beans at all. I like a lot of Chef John's recipes - this was easy to make but I would not say information technology was totally accurate. That said I remember I like this version ameliorate, every bit the ones we had in Italy were flatter/thinner and had less of a delightful chaff. I feel it benefitted from a calorie-free sprinkle of boosted salt and paper before eating to really bring out the chickpea flavor. Delicious! I like how versatile this recipe is. I made it as instructed the commencement time. The 2d fourth dimension I baked it in an 8x8 greased dish in my sunday oven outside, which runs about 350° degrees (we were having 105 degree weather and didn't want to use my kitchen oven). I used my 12" cast iron skillet, so it was a little thinner, and it was really nicely crisped on the bottom. I topped it with a handful of caramelized onions earlier popping information technology in the oven. Nosotros loved it. I but rated it a 4 because with v Tbs of oil, it was a little bit greasy. Adjacent fourth dimension I'll try 2 Tbs in the pan and just 2 Tbs whisked into the batter..

Not certain what happened! Followed the recipe but information technology was only ok. Was hoping for something similar to falafel but this was rather soggy in the middle although the exterior was dark-brown. Plus it stuck horribly to the pan.

I've used chickpea flour for numerous dishes, including chickpea fries, but this is the simplest recipe I've tried. Information technology is really good, but be sure you lot are using a bandage iron pan that tin take the heat. My children liked this quite a bit, equally did I, but my husband didn't care for it. I stupidly told him information technology was made with chickpea flour, and I recall that made him prejudiced against it, as he has declared all chickpeas to be inedible. Sad, but it is his loss.

This was delicious. My start fourth dimension cooking with garbanzo edible bean flour. I watched the video and fabricated it just similar information technology said, and did use the rosemary. It reminds me of making a big oven pancake. My daughter said information technology tasted similar biscuits and gravy, my granddaughter said information technology tasted like staff of life to her. I was expecting it to gustatory modality like hummus, and perhaps it did a little, but it was very smooth, not gritty at all, and was a slight bawdy flavour. I will definitely make it once more, and I think it is skillful just every bit the recipe reads (as does everyone else in the family unit)

Couldnt be easier! Call back pie chaped appie, I served room temp. A dusting of sumac added pizzaz and contrast. Sturdy plenty to exist topped like pizza. Check after 10 minutes.

A couple of comments, sprinkling the faina with WHITE pepper is the proper way to do it. Have it from a Uruguay native, where this is agone to dish in pizzerias. I have never done information technology on an iron skillet, I use a copper flat dish, merely this is a modest bespeak. The white pepper though is a must.
